Large Woodlands Conservation Co-operative
The LWCC is a group dedicated to the conservation of woodlands in Peterborough, Northumberland, Durham, and the City of Kawartha Lakes. The LWCC works to provide educational resources to woodlot owners, assisting them in sustainably managing their land.
LEAF (Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests)
LEAF is a not-for-profit with the aim of protecting and improving urban forests. In additon to the wide range of programs, hands on training and workshops LEAF runs, this organization also oversees an initiative to provide property owners with native trees and shrubs at a subsidized cost.

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters
O.F.H.A is a nonprofit, nongovernmental fish and wildlife conservation organization, representing more than 100,000 members and supporters. The O.F.H.A runs programs to improve habitat and restore wildlife, including building waterfowl nesting boxes and investing in fish hatcheries, as well providing youth programs such as teaching hunter safety and hosting outdoor youth clubs.
Ontario Forest Industries Association
The OFIA is a provincial trade association which represents various sized companies within the forest industry, it also provides a unified voice to the government and other business sectors. Additonally, the OFIA promotes the production and use of forestry products which are sourced using sustainable forest management.
Ontario Heritage Information Centre
The rare Charitable Reseach Reserve exists to preserve a large land reserve along the Grand and Speed Rivers. Home to a rich diversity of habitat types and organisims, rare's land provides a magnificent "natural labrartory" for education prgrams, scientifc study and nature appreciation.
