Join us and close to 300 landowners, educators, forestry professionals, government and the general public on Friday February 10, 2012, as we explore the importance of healthy forests fore healthy people. This year the OFA Annual Conference will explore forest health and human healthy, and the connections between them. We will examine these healthy issues from the perspective of Symptoms, Diagnosis and Prescription with a goal of helping to expand our understanding of what it takes to sustain a healthy forest and ways they can benefit our own physical, mental and economic health.

The OFA Annual Conference is regarded as the premier forestry event in Ontario bringing together those interested in forest conservation from across the province. Every year the OFA holds its auction during the conference to raise funds for our education programs, including Envirothon, Forest Careers Awareness and Focus on Forests. We are asking for any donations inspired by nature, items made of wood, or resources such as field guides and forestry equipment. Cash donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase further items for the auction.
If you would like to donate an auction item, please contact us. We will be happy to arrange for delivery or pick up of your item(s).
As a donor to the auction you will be recognized in the conference agenda and n the Spring 2012 OFA Newsletter, Our Forest, which is circulated to over 1,000 members and supporters.
This year the White Pine Silent Auction will be featured some great items!
Thanks to all the donors for the 2012 White Pine Auction! The auction was held at the 63rd Annual OFA conference, and raised money to go towards the OFA education programs, including TreeBee, Focus on Forests and the Ontario Envirothon. Over $4000 was raised!
Thanks to Algonquin Outfitters for the biggest donation to the White Pine Auction- a 3-day paddling trip in Algonquin for 2!
